Super Scare medal from the 1918 Mid-Pacific Carnival that took place in Honolulu and Waikiki , Hawaii. Engraved on back: 6 mile relay, stamped on back 14 not sure if 14k solid or 14k covered? there is a symbol stamped next to the 14 looks like the outline of the Hawaii state seal- coat of arms or shield? just under 1 1/4" triangle shape with original red, white, blue ribbon attached. Excellent Condition.

Original Hawaiian artifact hand carved from various kinds of lava stone, or stone disks, having a narrow flat edge with both surfaces being slightly convex making the disk thicker in the center than at the edges- to make the disk run true in distance and accuracy in between two sticks without hitting either stick. 3" diameter, this one has a broken piece missing, the white material may be petrified algae or coral imbeded in rock.

Museum quality ancient Hawaiian Poi Pounder or a 'Conical' shaped Poi Pounder for its soft round top handle or knob and similar shaped, porous basalt lava rock, weighs about 7 lbs. 8 3/4" tall, 5 1/2" diameter. Larger tools such as this was used for beating the underground stem of the taro plant into poi, a staple food for Hawaiians; grasped around the neck with one or two hands, the flared bottom would prevent the user's hands from slipping. A super Rare find!

Description and markings as follows: 15" tall x 10 1/2" across x 3 1/2" wide, koa frame box, wood panel board back, metal hinges, glass painted face opens to expose metal workings of clock. Markings: Electronic clock Kamehameha, Made in Hawaii, Honolulu Hawaii. Inside sticker: Paul Hanson Co., Inc. Electronics Telephone 992222 Honolulu Hawaii. Stamped in ink: Oct 16, 1964 Serial 000054, Hawaiian Wedding Song Kamehameha. Not working, arm swing piece is not attached, seems to be a place for an old size A battery but not sure, more workings/wires underneath clock metal plate but do not want to tear apart to see what's there. Weight-7 lbs.

Barber in 1881 this dime was part of a five coin series that saw use in the islands until 1900 when the islands became a territory of the United States. Circulation business strikes were minted at the San Francisco Mint (without mintmark) from November 17, 1883 through June 1884 (all dated 1883). Although a quarter million of these were struck, many were subsequently melted as a result of the removal of legal tender status once the Kingdom of Hawaii became a U.S. Territory in 1900. This beautiful silver coin is in fine condition, shows bust of King Kalakaua back-wreath and crown, 19.9 mm, Fine condition.
