Vintage 1966 Hobie Gun- Dick Brewer Model 10' 4"

This is one of the very unique Hobie Dick Brewer Models, in that is near the end of the run of only 93 models built. At Number 83, it is ten boards shy of the finish and represents the evolution of the model.

Featuring 1/8" redwood off set stringers bordering turquoise high density foam T-Bands. These T-bands are unusual and interesting in that previously all the offsets stringers had been 1/4" and in attempt to lighten the boards, the switch was made to 1/8". Check out the sharp matching turquoise high density foam tail block and 1/2" redwood center stringer, both features typical to this exceptional gun. The beautiful matching turquoise blue and white glass on speed fin show the attention to detail these classic Brewer guns were known for. The Hobie Dick Brewer laminate with the number 83 is still sharp and bright. Another interesting factor that attests to the late production is the Hobie production number of 26562 written on the stringer.

This handsome big wave board is in original condition with some minor dings professionally repaired, attempted leash plug fixed and the entire board re-glossed and polished. This is one of the last of the Hobie Brewer guns and is still in amazingly good condition for a board that is over 45 years old!
